This Weeks Healthy Discussion

  1. Why is Creatine so Popular?

  2. Starting to be Mobile

  3. 2 Quadricep Tips

Many people who love working out like to take their progress to the next level by taking supplements. One of which, is incredibly popular and useful.

Creatine has gotten more popular due to how many teenagers are getting into fitness since Covid. So many kids are starting much earlier than I did and this just shows how powerful social media is.

Newcomers are easily influenced by the fitness media and so now they are discovering creatine (just like I did when I started working out when I was 15). So, of course creatine is going to be all over media when influencers know they can sell their sponsors product.

However, social media shouldn’t be the reason it’s so popular, the benefits should be.

Creatine floats around the fitness media as this saviour that will double your gains.

Now, it definitely won’t double your gains, but it is a very useful tool to use if you are trying to get bigger, or just have a healthier lifestyle.

The Benefits of Creatine consist of:

  1. Energy output in the gym

  2. Higher Quality Brain/Mental Health

  3. May Reduce Fatigue and Tiredness

  4. Aids in Muscle Mass (Due to Boosting Gym Performance)

  5. And more

If you are considering taking it, I highly recommend doing so. You don’t need to do a loading phase, just start by keeping a consistent routine with taking creatine everyday.

The differences might be small, but little things add up overtime for a healthy lifestyle.

Starting to be Mobile

Ever since I determined who my ideal client is, I started to be more intrigued by mobility exercises and the benefit of them.

I recently started creating mobility videos and it’s been expanding my knowledge and exercise routine.

Mobility work is typically overlooked or avoided by many because it can be slightly boring.

What I’ve started doing is picking a location or area in my house that stimulates my brain with joy. I love the sounds of birds chirping or a river flowing so I go to my screen porch to do my mobility work.

This simple change of location has made mobility work more enjoyable than it would be in a gym.

So, if you have a location, music, or person who makes even the simplest exercises fun, I highly recommend using that to motivate you to do the exercises you find boring.

Two Quadricep Tips

When trying to grow your legs, the Quadriceps are going to be a big focus.

Here’s two tips that help me get the most out of my quadricep exercises:

  1. Knee Flexion: Maximizing knee flexion is going to be a key factor in lengthening the quads to get the most stimulus out of a squat.

  2. Tempo: Anyone who’s trained legs before knows how fatiguing it can be. Make sure to focus on the tempo of your quadricep exercises, to get the most out of them.
