Figuring Out Your Form
When starting out in the gym, form is usually the first thing that people need to master when exercising.
However, while learning technique, people tend to skip this one particular aspect.
Moving with intent.
You can master form as much as possible but if you don’t understand what you’re moving, then it can detach your mind from what you’re feeling.
Mind muscle connection doesn’t help with hypertrophy, however it is a helpful tool in isolating a muscle and knowing you’re doing everything right.
Being connected with what’s moving will assure you that your form is fine and now you can just focus on taking that set to failure.
Train Specific
With the Olympics going on, we are seeing many different types of physiques and physical activities.
Each individual athlete has their own goals and creates a program to achieve them.
This should be the same for anyone who wants to get into the gym.
Not a single person has the exact same lifestyle as another. Everyone has a specific lifestyle and goal that they want to achieve or become better at.
Therefore, creating a program to suit those specific factors is necessary.
Don’t worry about what program an influencer is doing. Their goals are different than yours.
Think more like an Olympic Athlete, where you are an individual with your own goals and specific needs.
Make your program personal to you.
