I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “the dose makes the poison”.
It’s usually said in the context of chemicals or medications, but the truth is: this applies to almost everything in life — even the “healthy” stuff.
This can be with working out, eating clean, and even discipline.
We can overtrain, we can under-eat, and we can burn out due to being so focused on a specific goal.
It’s all about having balance.
If you can’t sustain it in the long run, then it’s not worth doing in the short-term.
I saw this quote and I think it’s the perfect example of what I am trying to convey.
Fitness should energize you, not drain you.
Nutrition should fuel you, not restrict you.
Health should feel freeing, not like a punishment.
I understand wanting to get to your goals in the quickest way possible, but make sure that you can keep those goals without having to burn out.
