Organize and Prioritize

One common issue that I see when people are organizing their workout split is not prioritizing a weak point.

We always have specific areas that are weaker than others. Even if you are a beginner, you are going to have some area that you are stronger in compared to others.

This is why we need to prioritize our muscles in our workout splits.

This means every 3-4 months, we work on specific weak points to bring up and fix.

By knowing your weak points, we can put those muscles first in a workout and prioritize overall volume to grow them.

Your weak points will always change as well.

Once you spend 3-4 months fixing one area, once it’s caught up, another weak spot will appear and you can reorganize your workout routine to fit the new goals.

It’s a constant cycle of slowly growing your overall physique.

Due to the impossibility of prioritizing the whole body.

No matter what, you cannot prioritize the whole body due to fatigue.

The muscle you put first in the day, will be your priority, because as you continue down a workout, you slowly gain fatigue.

Therefore, you cannot get as good of a stimulus that you could at the beginning.

So look at yourself, and determine your weak points, and program from there.

Being Real

This is where being realistic with yourself in a positive manner needs to occur.

It’s easy to be negative and look at yourself and say “My whole body is a weak point”.

However, we need to have a positive outlook and see where we are actually strong.

This will help us find the real weak points and be able to fix them without an issue.

Sometimes it helps having a coach to determine those weak points for us, therefore if you need any help with that, be sure to message me through my instagram @itscallummurphy.
