Stress Management

Everyone has stress in their life, whether it’s an upcoming presentation or being late for work.

How we handle stress has a huge affect on how healthy we can be. Stress can stop you from working out, affect your diet, or even as simple as affect your sleep.

I have recently dealt with a stressful decision about where I will be completing a placement for my school. This decision was weighing heavy on my mind for months and only after making a choice, did I realize where I have been neglecting in my health.

This moment of my life has taught me that I cannot let stress control my life.

I won’t be able to avoid stress entirely but I can manage it.

By creating a routine for my meals and workouts, I can rely on this routine being there for when life throws a curveball.

Prepping meals is much more underrated as some might think and due to a few good friends and family, I have finally been able to realize that.

So if you are struggling with stress in your life, set a routine for yourself that you can hold tightly to you. This will help you manage your health with these tough situations.

Always Be Learning

Knowledge is an incredible power, and we should always be striving to achieve more of it.

Whether that is through books, podcasts, or classes, learning should be anyone’s main focus.

I’ve been trying to read 10 pages a day to learn as much as I can by the end of the year.

Here are some of my top books so far:

  1. Atomic Habits - James Clear

  2. The Power of Why - Amanda Lang

  3. Unreasonable Hospitality - Will Guidara

    • On the reading list for myself, however I have heard amazing things from my dad.

All of these books are there to help you improve in your life. Whether that is through habits or just lessons you can apply in your own life.

I recommend trying to learn one new thing a day, however if that is too much, strive for once a week.
