The Integrity of Your Word
The power of a simple “yes” or “no” will take you a long way.
Our current world is way to used to saying the word “maybe” for every single decision or action.
It has become our “default answer”.
A way to not be accountable in our answers and not have to hold any guilt or discomfort.
I believe we need to learn the power of “yes” and “no” and how it is a key to building stronger relationships with our peers, and ourselves.
Letting your yes mean yes and your no mean no isn’t about being rude or bold, it’s about integrity.
I understand that many struggle with being firm in their answers, but the real reason is typically that many are just scared that they will make the wrong choice.
However, when we say yes when we mean it, we gain confidence in knowing that we are true to our selves and our word.
The same thing goes for saying no as well. When we say no to something that we truly do not want in our lives, we stay true to our values and beliefs.
So I urge you to start putting value in what you say and what you agree to because when your words are clear, your life becomes clearer too.
