Three Ways to Stay Full Longer
Time Management
If you’re anything like me, there’s times where after a busy day at work, all you want to do is lie down.
Lying down for “five minutes” quickly turns into 1-2 hours and now you have less time to complete the rest of your to-do list.
Something that I’ve been trying to fix is my time management.
I’ve found that being busier at work can let the habits that I’ve built, slip away.
However, I have always been one to be self aware so I’ve started implementing some tips to help me with my time.
The first is simply reminding myself that one of the easiest ways to start an annoying task, like folding laundry, is to tell myself to do it for 'five minutes’.
It’s much easier to keep going once you’re started, but tricking your mind into thinking you’re only going to do it for ‘five minutes’ helps you get out of bed.
The second is a weekly planner.
This may seem so simple, but writing your tasks on paper helps with organizing your time and making sure you end up doing it.
Take it one step farther and do what I did, and buy a massive calendar to put up on one of your bedroom walls.
Whatever you do, make sure you take care of yourself, and one of the best ways to do that is fixing your time management.
Trust the Process
One thing about time is that it goes by quickly.
However, when someone gets into the gym, they want progress right away but they neglect that muscle gain or fat loss takes time and this makes progress seem like it’s miles away.
The best thing you can tell someone who is worried about the length of time it takes is “Build the consistency and watch the time fly”.
Once you get addicted to the day by day progress of fitness, your weeks will go by even quicker.
This is due to the understanding that each workout is one step closer to your goals.
So, once the habit is built, progress doesn’t seem so far away anymore.
Three Ways to Stay Full Longer
Eat more protein - Once you up your protein intake, you’ll be fuller for longer periods of time
High Volume - Salads, vegetables, and fruits are all mostly low in calories but high in water. Meaning you can eat lots but can keep calories low
Increasing Fibre - Eating foods with higher fibre can also help with staying full longer
