You Can Start Slow

I think the idea of jumping head first into big changes in our lives are getting preached too much.

Typically, the average person who jumps all in will do great for the first few weeks, but end up being overwhelmed or burnt out.

That’s why today I want to remind you that you can start slow.

You can start your process of losing weight by just intentionally eating more protein. Then you can take the next step of tracking the protein and hopefully that leads to you tracking all your calories.

If we divide our big goals into very small ones, this helps us by feeling like we completed something, and that we got one step closer to our big goal.

Completing these small goals, typically leads to us forming better habits that we want to keep, instead of feeling like it’s a burden because we jumped head first into a whole lifestyle change.

Start thinking about habit changes, not lifestyle changes.

Small habits will add up to your lifestyle change, and make it much easier to maintain that life.

Go at a pace that lets you learn why the small changes make a difference, instead of just doing it because that’s what someone told you to do.

In the wise words of Phil Dunphy “Slow is Smooth and Smooth is Fast”.
